Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lumenchain Payments portal, APIs, and related services (the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization and "you" refers to that entity.

1. Access to the Services

We provide merchant and customer portals, payment APIs, SDKs, and documentation to help you manage L2 payments. We may update or improve the Services over time. Your continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the updated Services.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and maintain the security of any credentials, API keys, or tokens issued to you. You are responsible for all activity conducted under your accounts and keys.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for unlawful activity, money laundering, or sanctions violations.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our infrastructure without written permission.
• Reverse engineer or misuse sandbox fixtures in a way that impacts availability for others.
• Circumvent rate limits, signing requirements, or webhook verification controls.

We may suspend or terminate access for suspected violations.

4. Fees and Payments

Pricing tiers and fees are published on the /pricing page. We may change fees with reasonable notice. You are responsible for applicable taxes and network fees.

5. Data and Privacy

We process contact, billing, and transactional data as described in the Privacy Policy. You remain the controller of end-customer data submitted through the Services. You must obtain necessary consents before providing personal data to us.

6. Availability and Support

We aim to provide reliable availability with webhook delivery targets and SLA indicators. Support channels and response times are listed on /contact. Non-critical maintenance may be scheduled with notice via the status page.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Services, SDKs, documentation, and branding belong to Lumenchain. You may not remove marks or notices from the Services.

8. Warranties and Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Demo fixtures are provided for convenience and may not reflect production performance.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LUMENCHAIN WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR REVENUE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

10. Compliance and Third Parties

You are responsible for complying with applicable laws, including KYC/AML obligations for your customers. Third-party services (e.g., RPC providers, identity providers, analytics) are subject to their own terms.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, legal requirements, harmful activity, or to protect the platform. You may stop using the Services at any time; certain terms survive termination, including Sections 5, 7, 8, 9, and 12.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted. If you continue using the Services after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms.
